🕊 Dress Code

We’d love for everyone to dress in formal, semi-formal, or cocktail attire.

Important note for the ceremony:
The wedding will take place at a monastery. Out of respect for the sacred setting, please make sure to cover your shoulders and chest while on monastery grounds. Very short dresses are also best avoided. We recommend bringing a scarf or shawl to wear during the ceremony.

There’s no specific color scheme to follow—we're not having bridesmaids or groomsmen. In the Orthodox tradition, only one person witnesses the marriage. This special role is filled by the kuma (female) and kum (male), and they are spiritually bonded to us for life.

⛪ The Ceremony

The ceremony will be held inside a beautiful monastery. Please note that the space inside is limited—only about 50 guests can fit indoors and there is no seating available. We’ve reserved those places for our closest family members.

For our friends and extended guests, we invite you to enjoy the monastery grounds during the ceremony. The ceremony lasts around 45 minutes, and once we step outside as a newly married couple, we’d love to see you there 🎉

🍽 Food & Dinner Details

Dinner is expected to begin around 17.30h, so we recommend having a good breakfast earlier in the day.

Food will be served buffet-style and will be available throughout the evening—all the way until midnight—so you can help yourself whenever you’re ready to eat.

The wedding cake will be cut at 21.00h, and there won’t be desserts served before that, so save a little room!

Upon arrival at the venue, you’ll be greeted by our fantastic staff who will offer you a welcome drink and direct you to a seating chart, so you can see which table you’re seated at.

We will arrive approximately 30 minutes after all the guests and make our grand entrance, followed by taking photos with our guests—in groups:

  1. Family

  2. Relatives

  3. Friends

Once you've had your photo taken with us, please make your way to the buffet and enjoy the food. We’ll join you at the table and eat right after we’ve finished photos with everyone—which should take no more than 45 minutes.

🍷 Drinks & Rakija

At the wedding, you'll find a variety of drinks: wine, beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options.

Rakija (a traditional Serbian spirit) will also be served. It’s strong—about 40% alcohol—so sip with care! 😄

One small request: If you’re drinking red wine, please avoid standing too close to the bride... just in case!

🎶 Music & Vibes

Get ready for a mix of all kinds of music—from traditional tunes to dance floor hits. Even if you don’t understand the lyrics, just feel the rhythm and join us on the dance floor. We promise, it’s all about the energy and joy!

There will also be a few short speeches during dinner.

👟 Practical Tips

Bring a pair of comfortable, flat shoes to change into later in the evening—you’ll want to dance the night away without worrying about your feet.

🥂 Pre-Wedding Gathering

To kick things off, the kuma and the bride’s sister are organizing a welcome gathering for all our friends on Saturday afternoon.

Once the guest list is finalized they will reach out to everyone who has confirmed their attendance with more details. It’s the perfect chance to mingle, relax, and start celebrating early with drinks, laughs, and good company!

💸 Currency & Tips

The local currency in Serbia is the Serbian dinar (RSD).
Most places accept credit cards, but it’s a good idea to carry some cash—especially for:
• Tipping (which is a big part of local culture)
• Small purchases or local markets
• Tipping the girls handing out traditional wedding decorations in front of the monastery, which all guests are required to wear.

✈️ Transport & Travel

Getting here:
• The nearest airport is in Belgrade (Nikola Tesla Airport - BEG), Serbia’s capital.
• From Belgrade, you can reach Novi Sad (Serbia’s second-largest city) by train in about 30–45 minutes.

Tips for getting around:
• Avoid taxis in Belgrade if possible—they can be overpriced for tourists. If you need a cab, we recommend Pink Taxi, which is known to be reliable.
Novi Sad is more budget-friendly, and local taxis are generally reasonably priced.
• If you're staying in Fruška gora, renting a car is a great option for flexibility.
Public transport in Belgrade is free of charge. For example, bus number 600 will take you from the airport to the city center in around 30 minutes.
• Remember to download the Srbijavoz app for buying train tickets.

We’re so excited to share this day with you and can’t wait to celebrate together. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!
